About This Solution

A traditional firewall looks at who is talking to whom; it does not see an attack hidden inside a request to a web application. A Web Application Firewall (WAF) inspects every HTTP/HTTPS request before it reaches the application and stops application-layer attacks such as SQL injection, XSS and malicious bots. It is an essential layer for customer portals, e-commerce sites, mobile app back ends and APIs.

A WAF is only as good as its tuning. Left on default rules, a WAF either misses attacks or blocks real users. We get to know your application, tune the rules to it and manage a seamless move from monitoring to blocking mode. WAF is one of Novus BT's strongest fields; our on-premises, cloud and hybrid projects are run by engineers with deep experience in this area.

Risks You Face Without This Solution

Attacks such as SQL injection and XSS hide inside legitimate-looking requests that pass through a traditional firewall.

Unprotected APIs are among the most common sources of data leaks.

Malicious bots affect both security and business through credential attacks, content scraping and abuse.

A misconfigured WAF can block real users and cost business.

What We Offer

01

Protection against the OWASP Top 10 (SQL injection, XSS and more)

02

API discovery and API security

03

Bot management and credential stuffing protection

04

Rate limiting against application-layer DDoS attacks

05

Low false positives through rules tuned to your application

06

On-premises, cloud and hybrid (WAAP) deployment options

Who Is It For?

Ideal for organizations with internet-facing web applications, portals, e-commerce sites or APIs that must demonstrate application security under PCI DSS, KVKK and industry regulations.

After deployment, we sustain the value this solution delivers through regular health checks, performance optimization, and 24/7 managed service support whenever needed.

Frequently Asked

Frequently Asked Questions About Web Application Firewall (WAF)

Not when it is set up properly. We first learn your application's normal traffic in monitoring mode, tune the rules to it and then move to blocking mode step by step.
Both are possible. We decide on an on-premises, cloud or hybrid architecture together, based on where your applications run, your traffic volume and your regulatory requirements.
Yes. A WAF blocks attacks but does not fix the vulnerabilities in the application. Penetration tests reveal the vulnerabilities; the WAF protects you until and after they are fixed.
Yes. A WAF can integrate with your application delivery (ADC) infrastructure; we assess your setup and deploy it with as few changes as possible.
